Nathalie joined McGuireWoods in 2015. She focuses her practice on corporate law and in particular on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate restructuring and advising companies and nonprofits with respect to corporate matters. She also focuses on mining law and assists clients investing in francophone Africa on mining law issues.
Nathalie also assists on general real estate matters and contract reviews. In addition, she has experience in data protection audit.
Nathalie received her law degree from Université Catholique de Louvain and completed an Erasmus exchange at the University of Rome La Sapienza. She completed her LLM at Leiden University in European and international business law, and was a finalist at the Regional Final of the European Law Moot Court.
Nathalie is fluent in English and French. She has intermediate skills in Dutch and Italian.
Assisted in advising a Chinese listed company on its investment in a copper and cobalt world class mining operation in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Assisted in representing Pluriomics Belgium SA in forming Ncardia SA through a cross-border merger with German based Axiogenesis AG, via a complex semi-public share exchange transaction and subsequent squeeze-out of minority shareholders of Axiogenesis AG and with respect to a Series B investment round.
Assisted in advising a France-based cosmetics company with respect to the acquisition of a participation in a Belgian start-up, coupled with a convertible shareholders' loan.
Advised a European group on GDPR compliance, including but not limited to (on-site) audits, preparation of the register, risk analysis and preparation of internal/external policies.
Assisted foreign nonprofits in incorporating an entity in Belgium and in various corporate matters.
Assisted in advising international retailers with the renewal or termination of their lease contracts.
