Aaron represents creditors, debtors, committees, and other parties-in-interest in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and related adversary proceedings, as well as in non-bankruptcy matters that implicate insolvency issues. Aaron serves as national bankruptcy counsel to one of the largest health insurance and managed care companies in the country, and he regularly advises clients in all aspects of healthcare insolvency matters. In addition, Aaron has extensive experience representing creditors and parties-in-interest regarding energy and commodity issues in bankruptcy proceedings and disputes. He has litigated complex insolvency and valuation disputes in avoidance and breach-of-contract litigation, and frequently advises clients regarding application of the Bankruptcy Code's "safe harbor" provisions in structuring and unwinding commodity and derivatives contracts. Aaron is a member of the firm’s Opinion Committee with respect to insolvency-related legal opinions.

Aaron graduated Order of the Coif from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he served as Senior Articles Editor of the Washington and Lee Law Review and was awarded the W&L Law Council Award for outstanding student law review note. At law school, Aaron was also awarded the American Bankruptcy Institute Medal and the Roy L. Steinheimer Commercial Law Award, and was named the Distinguished Bankruptcy Law Student from the Fourth Circuit by the American College of Bankruptcy.  In recent years, Aaron has served as an adjunct professor of bankruptcy law at the Chicago-Kent College of Law.
