Kayla focuses her practice on healthcare law, representing healthcare providers, including hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, dialysis centers and physician practices in healthcare transactions and healthcare compliance matters. In this capacity, she has assisted in drafting operating agreements, purchase agreements, subscription agreements, physician employment agreements, management agreements, compliance plans and marketing policies.

Before joining McGuireWoods, Kayla served as summer associate for an international business and corporate law firm. She also served as a research assistant for the Presidential Commission on Election Administration, and as an Energy and Environmental Intern for U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell and then-Representative Geoff Davis.

Before graduating first in her class from William & Mary Law School, Kayla served as notes editor for the William & Mary Law Review. While attending William & Mary Law School, Kayla also received the Benjamin Rush Award for excellence in Health Law.

Representation of an owner and operator of ambulatory surgery centers, anatomic pathology laboratories, anesthesia entities and physician practices in its $10 million acquisition of an entity that provides the technical aspects of surgical services.
