Loy has extensive experience in a variety of sophisticated financial transactions spread across virtually all industries. He is actively involved in complex lending, and led his previous firm’s lending and tax-exempt financing areas. Loy is currently working in London and expanding the international debt finance practice of the Firm.
Having chaired uptown Charlotte N.C development entities, he is active in urban development. He was instrumental in the development and construction of the Charlotte Performing Arts Center, the Charlotte Convention Center, the Carolina Panthers NFL Football Stadium, North Carolina Dance Centre and the Fifth Third Financial Center. He has personally developed two large uptown Charlotte residential projects, and renovated existing buildings for commercial and office use.
Prior to practicing law, Loy served as captain of the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963.
