Steve serves on the Strategic Development Committee of the firm’s Atlanta office, where he has a national practice in commercial real estate. His clients include international investment funds, REITS, financial institutions, preferred equity and mezzanine debt providers, multifamily operators, and other owners, developers, lenders, landlords and tenants engaged in the acquisition, disposition, financing and leasing of real estate properties.

Steve’s real estate practice includes the full life cycle of commercial real estate development, including land acquisition, construction, leasing, finance and disposition. Steve also represents owners of stabilized real estate projects in refinancing, leasing, creation of easements, condemnations and other real property needs.

Representation of a real estate investment company in its preferred equity investment supporting the acquisition of a student housing community in Louisiana.

Represented client in the acquisition of a $26.2 million multifamily project located in Sandy Springs, Georgia.

Represented clients in the acquisition of agency (Freddie and Fannie) debt secured by multifamily projects located throughout the United States.

Represented national retailer in the acquisition of land and development of an 800,000 square foot warehouse and distribution center located in Jefferson, Georgia, including the negotiation of state and local public incentives

Represented a Japanese apparel manufacturer in negotiation of a 500,000 square foot build-to-suit warehouse and distribution facility lease financed through development authority bonds.

Represented real estate company in its acquisition, leasing, refinance and sale of approximately 20 shopping centers located throughout the U.S. sunbelt.

Represented a publicly traded technology company in negotiating its office leases nationwide.

Represented a lender in its foreclosure of a landmark Atlanta high-rise office building.

Represented a South African corporation in its acquisition and finance of an office building located in Atlanta, Georgia.

Represented a hotel owner in its acquisition, development and sale of several hotel properties throughout the United States.
