Manley is a partner in the debt finance group of McGuireWoods. He has extensive experience representing lead arrangers, administrative agents and lenders in syndicated loan transactions and bilateral loans.
He regularly works on secured and unsecured loan facilities provided to leveraged and investment-grade borrowers. His clients include national banks and their capital markets affiliates, state banks and commercial finance companies. He also represents publically-held and privately-owned businesses as borrowers in loan facilities.
Manley has also handled complex structured finance transactions – representing issuers in asset securitizations and arrangers in synthetic lease and other leveraged lease facilities.
He has taught classes on syndicated lending, loan documentation, secured transactions and leasing to lawyers, bankers, bar organizations and paralegal organizations. He is co-chairman of the firm’s Legal Opinion Committee and chairman of the debt finance group’s Associate Training Program.
Manley was a law clerk to Judge Irving L. Goldberg in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. He was a Morehead Scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
