Brooks represents commercial clients throughout all stages of the litigation process. He has handled cases in courts throughout the country, and he is particularly experienced in the state and federal courts of Northern Virginia. Although Brooks recognizes the benefit of resolving certain disputes without judicial intervention, he routinely argues dispositive legal issues to the court. Brooks also has deposition and trial experience, including a Virginia circuit court trial in which he was the lead attorney. In addition to litigating cases in the trial courts, Brooks regularly drafts appellate briefs in the Supreme Court of Virginia and federal appellate courts. Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Brooks spent two years as a federal law clerk.
