Martha's practice focuses on product liability and commercial litigation. She represents clients in all stages of litigation, ranging from discovery to trial, and she has taken and defended hundreds of depositions. As a member of the firm's consumer products safety commission team, she represents clients during product recalls and before the Consumer Product Safety Commission. She has also defended companies and organizations in premises liability and personal injury cases. Her domestic and international clients have included automotive and power tool manufacturers, manufactured housing companies, grill manufacturers, medical device manufacturers, and furniture manufacturers.

A significant portion of Martha’s practice involves working with companies to implement risk management strategies, including those related to product labeling, warnings and instructions, as well as issues related to document retention and vendor/supplier agreements. She is frequently called upon to conduct educational seminars on risk management strategies, and routinely counsels clients on protocols and procedures for handling product recalls.

While earning her law degree from the College of William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law, Martha was a member of the William & Mary Moot Court Team, where she won first place honors in the Institute of Bill of Rights Moot Court Symposium and was named a William B. Spong Tournament Research Justice. She was also a member of the William & Mary Law Review. As an undergraduate at the University of Virginia, Martha was named an Echols Scholar.
