Christie practices in the firm's financial services department as a member of the e-discovery team. Her practice involves interviewing witnesses to assess the scope and volume of documents to collect, valuating discovery requests, working with the case team to determine the proper and proportional scope of discovery, and managing the collection, review and production of documents.
Before joining the firm, Christie practiced for five years at a litigation firm in Charlotte. Her former practice focused on wrongful death, medical malpractice, education and civil rights-related actions. While there, she managed all facets of civil litigation matters from inception through completion, including preparing pleadings, trial briefs and appellate records, arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and trial preparation, strategy and proceedings.
During law school, Christie was a staff member of the First Amendment Law Review, worked as an intern and graduate assistant at the UNC Center for Civil Rights and provided more than 100+ hours of pro bono service.
