$30 million Available from DOE for Small Business Clean Energy Technology Commercialization

Yesterday, U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu announced that $30 million in new funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Pub. Law No. 111-05) and fiscal year 2010 budget appropriation will be made available to small businesses to help commercialize clean energy technologies.

Applications are being accepted for the technologies listed below. The application deadline is Aug. 4, 2010, at 8 p.m. (ET). Successful applicants may receive up to $3 million over three years to research, develop and deploy new technologies.

  • Fuel Cell Technologies
  • Geothermal Technologies – High Temperature Tools & Sensors
  • Industrial Technologies
  • Solar Technologies – Lowering Cost of Photovoltaics through Innovative Augmentation
  • Vehicle Technologies
  • Wind Technologies
  • Fossil Energy
  • Electricity Delivery & Energy Reliability
  • Nuclear Energy
