Washington partner George Terwilliger’s latest National Law Journal column, published Monday (Dec. 14, 2015), delivers an enlightening examination of the thorny issues of handling misconduct by federal prosecutors. In the article, titled “Debate Intensifies Over Prosecutor Misconduct,” Terwilliger notes that actual instances of prosecutors abusing the process is rare indeed, but when it is discovered, it should be addressed promptly and transparently to assure public confidence in the integrity of the criminal justice system.
