Environmental Drivers for Renewable Fuels Project Development

How to Navigate the New Regulatory Landscape & Capture Opportunities

April 8, 2010

On April 8, 2010, McGuireWoods LLP, Weaver Boos Consultants and the Illinois Renewable Fuels Association presented a special seminar at the Union League Club in Chicago. This event provided renewable fuels producers, project developers and investors with practical insights from legal, technical and financial experts on challenges and opportunities created under the new RFS2, evolving greenhouse gas policies, and new and changing environmental regulations. The session focused on the implications of these new programs and regulations for new projects, as well as plant modifications, diversification and optimization efforts. Practical considerations due to the changing regulatory and financial landscape were illustrated through a series of real-world case studies.
