Panelists provided an overview of the most crucial elements of the new federal tax requirements, including Section 9007 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), a significant tax change enacted last March that imposes new requirements for nonprofit hospitals that must be followed to keep a tax-exempt status. .
