Partner George Terwilliger moderated a panel on the topic "Enforcement Risk Management: Looking Around the Corner Beyond Regulatory Inspections and Audits," at this event hosted by The Center for American and International Law's Institute for Energy Law. Panelists identified typical and relatively routine regulatory encounters, including inspections, audits and reporting, and then discussed managing the less visible risk of more serious enforcement actions that can arise from them. The latter included risk of civil or criminal enforcement investigations or proceedings directed at both corporate entities and individual officers or employees.
