Vestergaard Frandsen v Bestnet Europe [2009] EWHC 1456 (Ch) This long running trade secrets case concerns the alleged use of confidential information by two former employees of the claimant, relating to the manufacture of long-lasting, mosquito nets with insecticide incorporated in the plastic. Both companies were Danish and this huge and technically complex case is proceeding in five different jurisdictions at once. The judgment of the English High Court in 2010 was that our client had improperly made use of confidential information but refused to award an injunction against their current product. Consequently, both sides are appealing: our client against the finding and the opposition about the remedy.
