Representation of private equity fund in the acquisition of two LFGTE facilities from the investment vehicles managed by another fund. The facilities are located in California and Rhode Island and have an existing generating capacity of 26.0 MW. MW represented the seller and handled all of the California real estate aspects of the transaction including assisting the buyer with the financing aspect. When completed, the facilities are expected to have a combined renewable energy capacity of 77.8 MW and will be among the largest and most efficient LFGTE facilities in the United States. The technology behind LFGTE facilities is at the forefront of efforts to combat greenhouse gas emissions. the construction of new, state-of-the-art, electricity generating facilities will ensure a substantial reduction in greenhouse gases.
