After a two-week trial in North Carolina’s Alamance County Superior Court, a Raleigh-based litigation team secured a defense verdict in favor of an emergency physician accused of failing to diagnose an arterial occlusion, resulting in the loss of plaintiff’s leg four days after she was seen in the emergency room. In this emotionally charged case plaintiff’s counsel asked the jury to return a $2 million verdict.
