Partner Ron Aucutt was quoted in a story published in the BNA Daily Tax Report on Sept. 14 about the Internal Revenue Service’s announcement that the large estates of people who died in 2010 will have until early next year to file returns and pay estate taxes, thus giving executors more time to comply with key tax law changes enacted last year. This announcement included a new due date for the Form 8939 for electing into the carryover basis regime.
