Metropolitan Corporate Counsel Profiles Deputy Managing Partner Melissa Glassman

McGuireWoods deputy managing partner Melissa Glassman is profiled in Metropolitan Corporate Counsel’s May issue featuring women leaders in business and law.

The article, titled “Finding a Way to Make It All Work,” details the evolution of Glassman’s career, beginning as a University of Texas graduate to working for a congressman in Washington, to emerging as a leader and top commercial litigator during her 30-year career at McGuireWoods.

In the interview, Glassman discusses opportunities and challenges facing women lawyers in the late 1980s, as well as how the profession has evolved. The article highlights her role in founding the firm’s Women Lawyers Network 20 years ago and recounts her many leadership positions, including as a member McGuireWoods’ executive committee and board of partners, and her previous roles as chair of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Department and Tysons office.
