The Greater Wilmington Business Journal selected McGuireWoods partner Hal Kitchin to its inaugural WilmingtonBiz 100 list, honoring top “Power Players, Influencers, Innovators, Connectors and Rising Stars impacting Southeastern North Carolina’s business landscape.”
Kitchin was among the leaders the Business Journal editorial team recognized as “The Influencers — the changemakers, in front of and behind the scenes.” Kitchin and his fellow honorees were featured in the December issue of WilmingtonBiz magazine.
A member of the firm’s Antitrust, Trade & Commercial Litigation Department, Kitchin represents plaintiffs and defendants in antitrust, land use permitting, eminent domain and breach-of-contract cases in federal and state courts. Since 2009, he has been included in The Best Lawyers in America for commercial litigation, and this year was named Business North Carolina’s “Legal Elite — Lawyer of the Year” for antitrust law.
In addition to his law practice, Kitchin chairs the University of North Carolina Wilmington board of trustees and previously chaired the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, the Cape Fear Future Foundation and the Greater Wilmington Chamber Foundation.
