Dennis Belcher Named President-Elect of American College of Trust and Estate Counsel

McGuireWoods LLP is pleased to announce Dennis Belcher, a partner in its Richmond, Va. and McLean, Va. offices, has been elected president-elect of the American College of Trust and Estate (ACTEC).

Mr. Belcher practices in the areas of estate planning, business planning, estate and trust administration, and fiduciary litigation. He previously served as the secretary of ACTEC, and is the past chair of the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section of the American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Virginia.

ACTEC’s mission is to improve and reform probate, trust and tax laws, procedures and professional responsibility. Prospective members (Fellows) are nominated by members in their geographic area and are evaluated on the basis of professional reputation and ability in the fields of trusts and estates and on the basis of having made substantial contributions to these fields through lecturing, writing, teaching and bar activities. ACTEC members are elected to the College by demonstrating the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence and experience as trust and estate counselors.
