The Los Angeles office of McGuireWoods LLP was recently awarded “Silver” status among law firms in the Los Angeles area in recognition of the firm’s volunteer efforts on behalf of the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank. Earlier this month, a team of volunteers from the firm donated their time at the Foodbank’s warehouse to help sort through thousands of crates of donated food to help ensure that only fresh and edible food was being sent to those less fortunate.
This effort was a part of the Los Angeles Foodbank’s “Food for the Bar” initiative, a program aimed at raising funds through the efforts of law firms in the Los Angeles area. As a result of the financial contributions made by people in the McGuireWoods Los Angeles office and the time volunteered, McGuireWoods was awarded “Silver” status among all the law firms in Los Angeles participating in the “Food for the Bar” program.
