Ron Aucutt Receives National Ranking in Chambers

July 13, 2009

In the just released 2009 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, McGuireWoods LLP is one of only two firms in the country to receive the highest possible ranking, “Band 1 for Wealth Management: Nationwide. Ronald Aucutt, from the firm’s Tysons Corner office, was cited in this national ranking for his work in trust and estates law.

According to Chambers, “McGuireWoods climbs to the top band (in its Wealth Management practice) this year and is an established force in the market, having proved its mettle representing some of the wealthiest estates in the country. Market sources are quick to highlight the superior service provided by the lawyers, saying, ‘Not only do they consistently deliver exceptional results, but they do so with incredible efficiency.'”

Aucutt is the leader of McGuireWoods’ Private Wealth Services practice, which is one of the largest private client groups in the country and is focused on handling the needs of high net worth clients. Chambers wrote in its 2009 edition, “Ronald Aucutt impresses commentators with his technical prowess, penning many articles and handling high-value mandates. This all-rounder is equally proficient in estate planning and controversy, generation-skipping transfer taxes, income tax matters and tax-exempt organization matters.”

Aucutt concentrates on planning and controversy matters involving estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes; income taxation of trusts and estates; rules regarding tax-exempt organizations and charitable contributions; and related tax issues.
