McGuireWoods Tysons Corner Attorney Assumes New Leadership Role

McGuireWoods LLP announced today that Melissa Glassman, a partner in the firm’s Tysons Corner office, has been elected to the firm’s board of partners and appointed to the eight-person Executive Committee. She was previously chair of the Complex Commercial Litigation Department. While Glassman will maintain an active legal practice, Pittsburgh partner Leonard Marsico will assume chair duties for that department.

Glassman litigates complex commercial cases including shareholder matters, lender/borrower relationships, energy, construction, commercial leasing, real estate, land use, zoning and all manner of business disputes. She has also litigated eminent domain cases in Virginia and Maryland on behalf of water, sewer, natural gas and electrical utility companies. Over the past 22 years, she has litigated in state and federal courts throughout the United States. She also has extensive experience handling the arbitration of all types of commercial disputes.
