In recognition and appreciation of the outstanding pro bono representation that McGuireWoods’ Charlotte attorneys have provided to victims of domestic violence, United Family Services of Charlotte awarded McGuireWoods with its Commitment to Justice Award. For several years, our attorneys in Charlotte have been working with the Legal Representation Project of United Family Services, assisting victims of domestic violence in securing protective orders. Counsel Ann Dorsett recently increased the firm’s relationship with United Family Services by creating a partnership project between McGuireWoods and attorneys in Bank of America’s legal department to work together in taking on even more cases for victims of domestic violence through the Legal Representation Project.
