Nearly a year after DuPont won a landmark $920 million verdict in a trade secrets theft case involving its Kevlar technology, a federal judge has ordered an injunction prohibiting Kolon Industries from producing and selling its competing product.
The ruling, issued Aug. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, orders Kolon to stop manufacturing and selling its Heracron aramid fiber – which the court ruled was developed after trade secrets were stolen from DuPont – for 20 years.
