Jeffrey Rothschild has joined McGuireWoods LLP’s Corporate Department as a partner in the firm’s New York office, where he will focus on representing financial advisors in securities and corporate matters, as well as private and public mergers and acquisitions transactions.

He also previously worked as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. in the mergers and acquisitions group.

“Jeff’s wide-ranging experience in securities, corporate and financial matters and his demonstrated experience representing financial advisors makes him a valuable addition to our team,” said Richard Viola, chair of McGuireWoods’ Securities Department. “We are delighted to have him join the firm.”

“Jeff represents clients in various industries, including healthcare, energy, retail and telecommunications,” said Philip Goldstein, managing partner of the firm’s New York office. “His knowledge of corporate matters facing these sectors will enhance the work we do for clients in New York and across the country.”
