David G. Dargatis, an accomplished corporate lawyer
who has handled complex transactions for clients in a wide range of industries, has joined McGuireWoods’ corporate practice as senior counsel in the firm’s
Tysons Corner, Virginia office.
Dargatis represents clients in numerous industries and sectors, including government contracting, national defense and intelligence, cybersecurity, health
and life sciences, and financial services. His broad transactional and counseling practice includes mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture
capital investments, and complex structuring and restructuring transactions.

Dargatis comes to McGuireWoods from the Washington, D.C. office of Arnold & Porter. His recent experience includes advising a leading government
contractor in a strategically important acquisition which enabled it to expand into classified military and intelligence community markets. Dargatis also
advises a Fortune 1000 company in connection with classified special programs, cybersecurity matters, legal and business policy development and risk

Dargatis’ arrival also adds to the capabilities of McGuireWoods’ expanding defense and government contracting industry team, said partner Todd Steggerda, who chairs the team.

Dargatis law practice is complemented by extensive prior business, accounting and finance experience. Before practicing law, he was a senior accounting
analyst for IBM Corporation at the company’s corporate headquarters in Westchester County, New York. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from
Penn State University and his master of business administration in finance from Fordham University. Dargatis earned his law degree from the University of
