McGuireWoods Romania celebrated its 10th anniversary in Bucharest with a client reception on Dec. 5. Calin Popescu Tariceanu, speaker of the Senate and former prime minister of Romania, and Hans Klemm, U.S. ambassador to Romania, were among the dignitaries in attendance.
More than 150 guests attended the celebratory event, including clients and friends of the firm. In addition to the McGuireWoods Bucharest office, McGuireWoods Consulting President L.F. Payne Jr. (Washington) and Executive Director Martha Youngblood (Richmond) and McGuireWoods law firm’s former managing partner, Tom Cabaniss (Richmond), were present.

In his remarks, Senate Speaker Tariceanu emphasized the valuable contribution of McGuireWoods to the Romanian economy over the past 10 years as a result of the team’s work for strategic investors. Ambassador Hans Klemm also highlighted the partnership with McGuireWoods in bringing American investors to Romania.
