U.S. News-Best Lawyers Names McGuireWoods ‘Law Firm of the Year’ for Banking & Finance Law

Firm Earns 22 Top-Tier National Rankings in ‘Best Law Firms’

McGuireWoods was named “Law Firm of the Year” for banking and finance law and earned first-tier national rankings in 22 practice areas in the 2019 edition of U.S. News-Best Lawyers’ “Best Law Firms.” McGuireWoods is among 20 firms with the most national Tier 1 rankings and among 10 firms with the most metropolitan Tier 1 rankings in the annual report compiled from client feedback and peer reviews.

This is the seventh year in a row that U.S. News-Best Lawyers has recognized McGuireWoods as a “Law Firm of the Year” for overall performance in a specific practice area. The firm has been honored three times for banking and finance law and once for banking and finance litigation during that period, highlighting the long record of consistently strong service McGuireWoods provides for leading financial institutions in corporate and litigation matters.

Earlier this year, 25 McGuireWoods lawyers were listed in banking and finance law in The Best Lawyers in America, the most of any U.S. firm. McGuireWoods represents the top 10 U.S. banks ranked by assets and consistently ranks among America’s top  law firms for lender representations in Thomson Reuters’ league tables.
