McGuireWoods Advises Seven Hills Capital and Reliable Medical Supply in Med City Mobility Deal

July 1, 2019

McGuireWoods advised Seven Hills Capital and its portfolio company, Reliable Medical Supply, in the purchase of Med City Mobility, a leading provider of complex rehabilitation technology and home medical equipment. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition is RMS’ first since it was recapitalized in late 2018 by Seven Hills, a Chicago-based private equity firm focused exclusively on healthcare services. McGuireWoods advised Seven Hills in that transaction.

RMS, headquartered near Minneapolis, serves a patient base of pediatric and adult patients with conditions such as ALS, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, severe spinal cord injuries and stage 4 COPD. The acquisition of Med City Mobility advances RMS’ goal of expanding its footprint to serve a larger patient base.

Alyssa Campbell and Greg Hawver led the McGuireWoods team representing Seven Hills and RMS, with assistance from Geoffrey Cockrell, Gretchen Heinze Townshend, Trey Andrews, Alan Chen and Brian King.

“This was an important acquisition for Seven Hills and RMS in executing the company’s growth plan and we were pleased to work with them on this deal,” Hawver said. “This illustrates McGuireWoods’ significant transactional capabilities in the healthcare sector.”

McGuireWoods consistently ranks among the top law firms in highly respected league tables for M&A and private equity deals. The firm’s annual Healthcare and Life Sciences Private Equity and Finance Conference is one of the largest private equity events in the U.S. healthcare market.
