Justin Yedor has been named to The Recorder’s
2020 California Trailblazers list, honoring legal professionals for significant contributions in their
areas of law. He is profiled in a special issue of The Recorder,
an American Lawyer Media publication, as a go-to adviser on California data
privacy law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Yedor practices in McGuireWoods’ Los Angeles offices, where he represents
clients on thorny data privacy and information security matters and helps
businesses nationwide navigate the new regulatory framework under the CCPA.
He has counseled dozens of companies on adopting compliance plans for their
collection and sharing of consumer data through websites, mobile apps or
other business channels.
“I am honored to have been selected for this prestigious recognition
alongside such accomplished lawyers,” Yedor said.
Yedor serves on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar
Association Privacy and Cybersecurity Section. He also holds the CIPP/US
credential as a Certified Information Privacy Professional from the
International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and is a regular
contributor to McGuireWoods’ data privacy blog, Password Protected.
