McGuireWoods has relocated its Washington, D.C., office to a newly renovated building at 888 16th St., N.W. at Black Lives Matter Plaza.
Effective Feb. 15, 2021, the firm occupies two-and-a-half floors in the brand-new building for a total of 50,555 square feet. Due to the building’s LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council and a more efficient floor plan, the firm is able to make efficient use of the new space.
“Our new office space is in a landmark building that has been transformed with a new two-story lobby, floor-to-ceiling glass windows for enhanced natural light, high ceilings and state-of-the-art events space,” said D.C. office managing partner Todd Mullins. “We look forward to welcoming clients and friends to this location in the heart of our nation’s capital.” The building is just two blocks away from the White House and is close to the U.S. Treasury, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the Hay Adams Hotel, and convenient to the Farragut North and McPherson Square Metro stops.
The office also serves as a base for the law firm’s full-service public affairs subsidiary, McGuireWoods Consulting, which helps clients deliver key messages to policymakers. “Our Washington, D.C., operation is a critical part of the future of McGuireWoods Consulting.
