McGuireWoods’ Christina Lepore Hinton Heads to U.S. Steel

January 4, 2022

Christina Lepore Hinton, an associate in McGuireWoods’ Pittsburgh office, joined U.S. Steel on Jan. 3, 2022, as counsel in its corporate department. She will focus on managing industrial real property transactions and the company’s mining properties.

After joining McGuireWoods in 2016, Hinton advised publicly traded and privately held energy companies on a range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions.

“Throughout my time at McGuireWoods, I learned an immense amount from the firm’s accomplished attorneys,” Hinton said. “I gained invaluable skills and experience and am grateful for the many fine mentors who guided me.”

Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Hinton clerked for the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania and worked as an associate attorney at a regional law firm, focusing her practice on energy transactional matters and litigation. While in law school, Hinton was a research assistant and served as a judicial intern to Judge D. Michael Fisher of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.

“Christina has been such a valuable member of our firm,” said Pittsburgh partner Anthony Carna, chair of the firm’s oil and gas practice. “We wish her all the best in her new role, and we have no doubt she’ll succeed.”
