Femi Aborisade focuses his practice on representing developers, utilities and project financiers in all aspects of their renewable energy development projects and transactions, with a particular focus on real estate and project finance matters.

During law school, Femi interned for the Honorable Judge Vanessa D. Gilmore at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, served as President of the Student Bar Association, was Dean’s Fellow for Hodges Society, and was a participating member of Thurgood Marshall Legal Society and Texas Business Law Society. Prior to attending law school, he taught Latin to 7–10th graders in the Katy, TX area.

A Houston native, Femi is actively involved in local organizations focused on serving the Houston legal and business community, including the Houston Young Lawyer’s Association and Houston Young Lawyer’s Foundation.

Experience

  • Assisted client on purchase and tax equity financing of a 46.5 MW wind farm.
  • Represented lead arranger in project financing of a 260 MW solar project.
  • Represented client in entry of renewable fuel supply agreements.
  • Represented clients on amendment of energy hedge agreements.
