Ayana represents corporate and individual clients in government and internal investigations, including investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC). She has represented organizations across a number of industries including financial institutions, energy, and higher education. Ayana also represents financial institutions in litigation in state and federal courts.
Before joining McGuireWoods, Ayana earned her JD from Georgetown University Law Center where she served on the Executive Board of the Black Law Students Association and was a member of the Faculty-Student Admissions Committee. She was an articles editor for the Georgetown Journal of Law and Modern Critical Race Perspectives. Ayana also served as a law clerk for Georgetown’s Supreme Court Institute and externed for the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law in the Education Opportunities Project.
