Rob's practice focuses on representing national and local clients seeking to acquire, sell, lease and develop all types of property for all types of uses, with a particular focus on the energy sector. He assists clients throughout the development cycle in structuring, negotiating and closing transactional matters as well as in land use and zoning matters.
Rob also has experience in handling a wide range of real estate-backed and asset-based loan structures and has handled both the legal and business aspects of retail, industrial, office and residential development projects. Before joining McGuireWoods, Rob was senior vice president and associate general counsel of a multi-state Federal Reserve member bank headquartered in Richmond, Virginia.
While earning his law degree, Rob was a member of the Moot Court Executive Board and Co-Editor-in-Chief of The W&L Law News. As an undergraduate at Hamilton College, Rob focused his studies on economics and anthropology.
