Representation of a Toronto-based real estate investment company in the acquisition, operation and sale of multifamily projects priced from $15-$30 million.
Representation of a Colorado-based developer in the acquisition, platting and development of 50 urban acres for construction of a retail, industrial and multifamily development project.
Represented a Dallas-based real estate investment company in the portfolio acquisition of two office buildings in Uptown Dallas for $55 million.
Served as Vice President and General Counsel of Brinker International, Inc., a publicly-held (NYSE) chain restaurant company, and performed multi-state purchasing, leasing, development and management of hundreds of restaurant locations in over 40 U.S. states.
Serving as senior real estate attorney for a major urban nature and science museum, including the representation of the museum in the acquisition of a 3 acre tract of Central Business District land as a key component of its new $180 million museum facility in Uptown Dallas.
Represented the 7th largest public pension system in the U.S. in its acquisition by foreclosure of a 60-story, 1.5 million square foot, Class AA office tower in Dallas, Texas, secured by $230 million in mortgage debt.
Served as Chief Texas Counsel for a large national bank in the negotiated foreclosure of a 200,000 square foot Class A office building, secured by a $28 million mortgage.
Served as Chief Leasing Counsel for an international pension fund involving a $43 million industrial property portfolio.
Completed the partnership restructuring of the Dallas office of the 5th largest commercial real estate brokerage company in the U.S. and internationally.
Served as Chief Texas Counsel in the purchase of a $100 million international luxury hotel, as a “Tenancy-in-Common” transaction for the I.R.C. Section 1031 like-kind exchange investor market.
Served as Chief Acquisition, Leasing and Management Counsel for a major Texas public pension system in its purchase, operation and sale of a 14-story, 257,000 square foot, Class A office building in Dallas, Texas.
Completed the sale of a $28 million, 440-unit upscale multifamily project in Denver, Colorado for one of the largest real estate pension advisory firms in the United States.
Handled a 400,000 square foot sale-leaseback of a warehouse/distribution facility in Maryland for a major Texas public pension system.
Represented a public pension system in the 4 acre investment purchase of the former American Red Cross headquarters, a prime office/retail site in Dallas, Texas across from the Crescent Hotel in Uptown Dallas, including the negotiation of a Letter of Credit for the full purchase price of the land and facility.
Represented a real estate investment company, as landlord, in negotiating a major single-user office lease with Motorola, Inc. for a 121,000 square foot high technology office building. Negotiated and closed with a global financial services firm the permanent CMBS mortgage financing for the building owner.
