Melek is a member of the firm’s Financial Services & Securities Enforcement Department in the New York office, representing clients in a wide array of litigation and arbitration disputes.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Melek worked at a major New York firm where he focused on securities litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters before the SEC and FINRA. He also was previously seconded to one of the world’s largest financial services corporations for eight months in its Banking and Broker-Dealer Regulation departments.

While in law school he served as board member on Fordham Law’s Dispute Resolution Society, competing for the Society in the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna and was a member of Moot Court and the Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal.

Melek received his JD from Fordham University School of law, his BA from Columbia University, both in New York City, and an AA from Roxbury Community College, where he is originally from, in Boston.
