Grant focuses his practice on financial services and complex commercial litigation matters. Grant graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he won several awards for his oral advocacy skills while competing on the National Trial Team and National Appellate Advocacy Team. During law school, Grant also worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Lucy Inman at the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
Before joining McGuireWoods, Grant worked as a litigation associate on a leanly staffed litigation team gaining hands-on experience. Although fully equipped to aggressively pursue matters in court, Grant emphasizes efficiency in his practice and frequently advises clients on how to assess and value claims early, so they can make informed decisions about the cost-benefit of litigation.
