Alessandra M. Givens Associate

Ally advises and represents a broad range of financial institutions, retailers and other organizations in individual and class actions in both state and federal courts.

She defends mortgage servicers, investors, and related entities against federal and state debt collection statutes, consumer protection statutes, mortgage foreclosure and loan modification claims, among others. Recently, Ally led the discovery process in a large breach of contract case that settled favorably for the client. She has been involved in several large civil litigation matters from their inception, so she thoroughly understands the litigation process, with hands-on experience in the pre-trial phase.

Ally also works on several pro bono matters, including assisting prisoners in their civil rights claims through the Federal Pro Bono Project. She recently argued a violation of equal protection case in front of Judge Breyer in the Northern District of California.
