Taylor Gayton joined McGuireWoods Consulting in August 2019 as an assistant vice president in the national multistate strategies group.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods Consulting, Taylor worked on Capitol Hill for Senator Gary C. Peters (D-MI). Throughout that time Taylor was responsible for an extensive legislative portfolio that included commerce, transportation, environment, energy, and agriculture. During her time on Capitol Hill, Taylor gained valuable knowledge of the federal legislative process.
Before working on Capitol Hill, Taylor worked on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign in Pennsylvania. In this capacity, she was responsible for implementing grassroots organizing and advocacy to mobilize voters.
Taylor graduated from Spelman College with a degree in International Studies. While at Spelman, she spent a semester in Istanbul, Turkey and worked at the American Studies Center at Bahçeşehir University.
Taylor is a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
