Edward W. Hill Vice President, Federal Public Affairs, McGuireWoods Consulting LLC

Edward is a vice president in the Federal Public Affairs Group at McGuireWoods Consulting. As a government affairs consultant, he represents clients before Congress, and provides strategic political, legislative, and public affairs advice on issues including, energy, healthcare, tax, trade, financial services, and science and technology.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods Consulting, Edward worked on Capitol Hill for Congressman G. K. Butterfield (NC-01), a senior member of the Energy and Commerce Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he managed an extensive legislative portfolio that included financial services, labor, housing, healthcare and trade.

He previously served on the committee staff for Congressman Elijah Cummings (MD-07), Ranking Member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, where he worked on a range of issues involving, information technology, intergovernmental affairs, and national security. During his time on Capitol Hill, Edward gained valuable knowledge of the federal legislative process, and quickly developed a reputation for maintaining excellent working relationships with members of congress and key congressional staff.

Edward earned his B.A. in Political Science from Howard University and his J.D. from Howard University School of Law, where he served as President of the Student Bar Association.
