Jeanne is a skilled civil litigator, who regularly litigates in both state and federal courts across the country. She represents clients in a wide variety of industries, with a particular focus on transportation and maritime issues.
Jeanne has extensive experience with all stages of litigation, including the taking and defending of depositions, briefing and arguing discovery and dispositive motions, managing expert witnesses, negotiating favorable settlements before trial, and examining witnesses and arguing at trial.
Before joining the firm, Jeanne practiced with two Norfolk-based law firms, where she focused exclusively on admiralty and maritime law. She gained considerable experience with Jones Act and LHWCA defense, marine terminal liability defense, maritime contract disputes, and marine insurance defense matters. Jeanne is active in the maritime community, and she is currently serving as the First Vice President of the Propeller Club of the United States, Port of Norfolk.
Jeanne also served as an attorney advisor and law clerk to the Administrative Law Judges of the U.S. Department of Labor. During law school, Jeanne served on the Moot Court Executive Board, and her team received the Best Petitioner’s Brief Award and won the Judge John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Competition.
