Marc is a partner in McGuireWoods’ London office and has significant experience advising leading banks and other clients on complex financing transactions. His practice focuses on emerging markets, with a particular emphasis on Africa and sustainable finance.
Marc’s practice is cross sector and pan-region, and encompasses debt and equity transactions across the financial continuum (from traditional lending to advising high net worth individuals on philanthropic investments). On the sustainable finance side of the continuum, he advises clients in both Africa and Asia on impact investing, blended finance structures and structured sustainability linked loans.
Clients appreciate Marc’s unique market insights and experience. He worked at the African Development Bank as a private sector consultant (based in Abidjan, Ivory Coast), representing the bank in multi-sectoral financing transactions across Africa. He was also one of the founding members of Standard Chartered Bank’s sustainable finance team in London, which Euromoney recently named Africa’s best bank for sustainable finance in its 2019 Awards for Excellence.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Marc was a senior associate in the banking and finance group of an international law firm in London.
