Amanda G. Ray Associate

Amanda practices within the firm’s healthcare department and advises clients on corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Amanda worked as a risk and compliance regulatory consultant for an internal audit firm where she regularly assisted a variety of healthcare organizations with implementing and operationalizing complex regulations, including licensure and accreditation requirements, Medicare Conditions of Participation and coverage, and billing and reimbursement rules. Additionally, Amanda has extensive experience evaluating corporate compliance programs against HHS Office of Inspector General (OIG) and Department of Justice (DOJ) guidance and optimizing privacy programs in accordance with the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Audit Program Protocol.

During law school, Amanda worked as a summer associate for another law firm where she worked on healthcare regulatory and compliance matters and worked as a compliance and legal intern for a healthcare system. She also competed in the Loyola Health Law Transactional Competition.
