Maya is a member of the firm’s Government Investigations & White Collar Litigation team. Before joining McGuireWoods, Maya clerked for the Honorable Robert B. King of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and for the Honorable Joel C. Hoppe of the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia.
Maya received her undergraduate degree in Government from the College of William & Mary, with a minor in Public Health. She then earned her law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude. During law school, Maya served as the lead articles editor for the University of Richmond Law Review, and was also a research assistant to Professor Luke Norris. Maya also interned for the Honorable John A. Gibney, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia during law school.
