Nesko Radovic Associate

Nesko practices in the firm’s Healthcare Group and focuses his practice on a variety of regulatory, compliance, and corporate matters within the healthcare and life sciences industries. He advises clients on transactional matters including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures as well as corporate governance, licensure, and formation issues. Nesko’s clients include hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and ASC management companies, dialysis centers, physician practice management organizations, physician groups, dental practices and dental services organizations.

Nesko’s representation includes negotiating and drafting transaction documents and counseling clients with regard to the legal aspects of day-to-day operations, including general corporate matters, Anti-Kickback and Stark issues, corporate practice of medicine and fee-splitting prohibitions, and developing the right business and legal structures for healthcare companies, particularly joint ventures among various providers and non-provider third parties.

Prior to joining the firm, Nesko worked for a regional health system, where he gained valuable experience in matters concerning the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and state fraud and abuse laws. During law school, Nesko clerked at the Illinois Attorney General’s office, where he assisted in prosecutions of complex financial, tax and revenue crimes. These experiences enable Nesko to assist his clients to construct practical solutions that match the needs of clients in these heavily regulated industries and manage their business transactions efficiently and effectively.

In law school, Nesko was a fellow in the Jaharis Health Law Institute, and a staff writer for both DePaul Journal of Health Care Law and Jaharis Health Law Institute E-Pulse. He also represented DePaul at Williem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot, in Vienna, Austria. Nesko earned a Business Law Certificate and CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for Health Policy and the Law, Transactional Drafting, Legal Profession, Trial Advocacy, and Foreign Investment, Trade and Business Transactions in Cuba, at the University of Havana, Cuba.

My experience in both transactional and litigation practice of law provides me with a comprehensive perspective when guiding clients in structuring health care transactions within the complex regulatory and business environment.
