Michele Satterlund Partner

Michele Satterlund is an attorney with McGuireWoods and a registered lobbyist with McGuireWoods Consulting in Richmond, Virginia.

Driven and goal-oriented, Michele has practiced as a lawyer and lobbyist since 2005, building a legislative and legal client portfolio that includes national and international companies in the technology, pharmaceutical, transportation, health care, and manufacturing industries. Michele works with private equity investors and portfolio companies to help them understand the implications of state-level healthcare policy decisions and market trends for their investment and business decisions.

With an understanding of how government and business interconnect, Michele is known for having a persistent approach to controversial issues. She was recently recognized by Virginia Lawyers Weekly as part of its 2019 inaugural group of “Influential Women of Law,” and received a Burton Award in May 2019 for her innovative legal writing. She works well with parties from both sides of the aisle and has been described by her peers as “determined—a person who won’t stop until the job is done.” In 2020, 2019, 2017 and 2016, she was named a “Legal Elite” in the category of legislative/regulatory by Virginia Business Magazine. She currently serves as the president of the Metro Richmond Women’s Bar Association.

McGuireWoods Consulting

McGuireWoods Consulting LLC ("MWC") is a wholly owned subsidiary of the McGuireWoods LLP law firm. From time to time, various McGuireWoods lawyers provide non-legal services to MWC clients, but MWC cannot provide legal services or advice. Therefore, any work MWC performs for a client does not give rise to an attorney-client relationship or privilege. Should you require legal services from McGuireWoods, as well as consulting services from MWC, you must engage the law firm separately.
