TJ focuses his practice on government investigations and white collar litigation. He counsels companies and individuals facing agency enforcement actions and Congressional investigations.
He advises government contractors across the range of the contract lifecycle using his experience as a clerk on the U.S. Court of Federal Claims focusing on bid protests and other government contract disputes.
When serving clients navigating enforcement actions and investigations, TJ deploys his experience analyzing government action from his time in the public policy sector in Washington, DC, prior to law school. He advises financial services clients based on his experience shaping financial regulatory policy, and he also applies his understanding of the nonprofit and think tank sector when counseling educational and nonprofit institutions.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods, TJ served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ryan T. Holte of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. While in law school, TJ participated in the Appellate Litigation Clinic, where he drafted briefs in federal appellate courts and presented oral argument on behalf of an indigent client before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
